Victory!!!
Scriptural reference: Galatians 6:9 (KJV) "Be not weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap if you faint not."
I had a tantrum and fainted like a proper southern belle!!! I swooned and promptly fell unaware, soundless, and without a visible witness to call for help. I landed on the proverbial rock-bottom ground with my unrealized hopes and dreams splayed around me like copper and red hued dried leaves. I lay unconscious and still. I lay there in undignified, uncovered and unseemly wretchedness in the middle of the floor of my weary life.
At first glance the collection of musical information noted on a page of sheet music doesn't look like much of a triumph. These few measures do not readily announce the effort, straining, tears and passion poured into a project that is still a work in progress.
The naked eye cannot see the enduring unspoken longing that this fragment of notation heralds. It is there. Look again, and perhaps you will see it. Thirty-five years. Fourteen producers who said they would, but didn't. Promises. Good intentions and still no proof of progress.
Until yesterday.
At last, and finally, not completion, but measurable visual progress.
I had to take a break. Then the break became anguish and painful doubts. The doubts scraped shoulders with unbelief and I was nearly drowned in sorrow and dream squelching deceptive futility. JESUS meets my souls anguish when tears flow silently at midday, midnight, and mid-life. HE gives one more breath. HE gives one more glimpse of HIS power to save. HE gives one more morning of mercy full of grace to begin again or continue.
This tiny 'syllable' of sheet music is just the beginning. This beginning is a triumph of JESUS grace. This sheet music is a victory!!
To all who labor and feel their work is in vain:
Please continue.
To all who doubt that what they do will matter to anyone:
Please continue.
To all who grapple with deep longings that no mere mortal can satisfy:
Please continue.
Whatever you have begun in faith, hope, or love:
Please continue ....
Feel free to shine,
OneLight
