Let a movie watch me as I nap

Scriptural Reference:

Psalm 46:10 (KJV) "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

 

It takes GOD to get through a good day when all is right and perfectly good because we know our joyful outcome is not merely a result of our straining efforts to make it so. It takes GOD to get through a hard day when every effort to do the right good thing produced pain and sorrow, tears and grievous disappointment as a result of our efforts to arrive at a good outcome.

In both of these circumstances, and all the variants of this place, there is a place in the plan of GOD that is sometimes hard to see. Hard to identify. Hard to snuggle up to and find comfort or peace.

GOD is GOD.

GOD is Sovereign and completely perfect in all of HIS ways.

Today, I crashed into an immovable granite wall "No." when I really hoped for a sunny, beautiful and joyful "Yes."

My guts are wrenched and aching. My mind scrambled, like someone's morning breakfast, is trying to understand. I can't quite get to understanding but I must arrive at a surrendered heart submitted to the broad panoramic and miniscule infinitisimal will of GOD for me concerning this, and all other things.

I've decided to lay on the sofa and let a movie watch me as I nap, confident only in this one thing:

JESUS loves me.

 

JESUS loves you, too.

Betrayal and Loss

Scriptural Reference: Psalm 34:14 ‘Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.’ I’ve been traveling a gruesome and bloody road. Frequently falling down and rising up. Laying quiet while waiting for the pain to resolve. Walking with unsteady gait, eyes blurred, and head muddled. With tear streaked cheeks and aching heart I have stumbled into this moment when I think I might be near to something like acceptance. Something like forgiveness. GODliness - Part #1

It's likely that you have remnants of the roast you made for the celebration of JESUS resurrection in your refrigerator.
