Greedy Adam and Eve

Within every newborn female are 1 to 2 million eggs, by puberty there are 300,000 to 400,000. During her reproductive years roughly 400-500 are released through ovulation. On the other hand, men produce seed in puberty, and with decreasing viability as they age.

 

When gazing at Adam and Eve, our first parents, and seeing them set in an idyllic garden in perfect unity with GOD I shake my head wondering how they were deceived and coerced to rebel against GOD and eat of the forbidden fruit. They had everything and somehow they grew greedy for more.

 

As I reflect on them and recall that within them is all of humanity that will ever be born, I ponder some curious thoughts, and see insight in the holy scripture(s).

 

1. Adam called his wife Eve.

"And Adam called his wife Eve, for she was the mother of all living." Genesis 3:20 KJV

Notice with me that she was pronounced "the mother of all living" prior to the conception and birth of any other human. She was named Eve by GOD's perfect wisdom that was given to Adam to name all living things.

 

2. In Adam all fell into sin.

"For as in Adam all die, even so in CHRIST shall all be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22 KJV

In Adam all fell into sin and died away from the perfection of our first estate of unbroken union with the LORD our GOD and Creator.

 

3. GOD promises to send our Redeemer.

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise HIS heel." Genesis 3:15 KJV

 

The treason of Adam and Eve was not GOD's fault. HE chose to create them as HE desired. Housed within their loins was the seed of every soul. Within their bodies were all the nations of man. The depths of GOD's wisdom and Omniscience is impossible to fully fathom as we gaze into the scripture to fully comprehend GOD's intent and handiwork. In Adam and Eve was the gift to choose.

 

"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of GOD: for GOD cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth HE any man: "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. "Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death" James 1:13-15 KJV

When we are hearing the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST we may submit to JESUS's LORDship or we may refuse.

 

"While it is said, To day if ye will hear HIS voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation." Hebrews 3:15 KJV

 

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17

 

If our minds are bound up in sins and unable to discern the truth I believe GOD's gracious compassion extends to give us another chance. HIS longsuffering heart provides repeated opportunities to hear the Gospel and respond with submission, confession, repentance, and we can experience conversion.

 

"The LORD is not slack concerning HIS promise, as some count slackness; but longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 KJV

 

If you believe in JESUS's blood and atoning sacrifice that washes a sinner clean then join with me and diligently pray that all mankind will truly perceive the gift of GOD in JESUS CHRIST and be saved today.

 

"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." Matthew 17:21 KJV

 

"For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. For GOD sent not HIS SON into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through HIM might be saved." 

John 3:16-17 KJV

 

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST." 

Acts 2:38 KJV

 

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." Romans 10:13 KJV

We were born in sin and there is a hunger within us that only JESUS can satisfy when we turn to HIM and are redeemed from sin. HIS abundant grace and salvation can heal us of the ache and insatiable desires of our starving soul. Sin is never satisfied. The sin nature must be mortified at the foot of the cross of JESUS CHRIST.

 

Consistently pray in faith with me that all men everywhere will hear the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST and be saved.

Betrayal and Loss

Scriptural Reference: Psalm 34:14 ‘Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.’ I’ve been traveling a gruesome and bloody road. Frequently falling down and rising up. At Ease

Scriptural Reference: John 8:32 (KJV) "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Ephesians 4:25 (KJV) "But speaking the truth in love...."   Full sigh and deep breath.  Repeat. This is the way I am right now and since some special dear people who love me have spoken life transforming truth(s) to me.  There are occasions when we may find ourselves in conversations about our lives that has been witnessed by long-time friends, and close family relations. Our mutual proximity to one another is often a place where true bonds of emotional vulnerability and trust are created and strengthened with time. I am so grateful to JESUS for providing such an environment and persons who promote this type of atmosphere in my life. I know that this is not common. I am certain this is unique. I am not surprised that few groups, and fewer families, know this precious treasure. I celebrate JESUS grace in providing the confidante(s), companion(s), and true friend(s)...

Were you there?

Scriptural reference: Isaiah 53:5 (kjv) "But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM, and with HIS stripes we are healed." 1 Peter 2:21-24 (kjv) (paraphrase) "...CHRIST suffered for us... who HIS own self bare our sins in HIS own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."    It's likely that you have remnants of the roast you made for the celebration of JESUS resurrection in your refrigerator. The roasted bits are creatively tucked into pitas, taco shells, and slices of toasty bread until they are mere memory of something delicious and shared. It's also likely that you heard it alluded to in song or sermon, "Were you there when they crucified my LORD?"
